A special event co-presented with the Longmont Museum

Language of the Masters by Dr. William Sloan featuring award-winning violinist Andrew Sords – with concertmaster Paul Trapkus and pianists Judy Sloan and Susan Olenwine

The Longmont Symphony is proud to partner with the Longmont Museum to offer this extraordinary opportunity to learn about and experience two rare and priceless violins—a Stradivarius and Guarneri del Gesu owned and cared for by Dr. William Sloan and Professor Judy Sloan.

Beginning with a lively presentation by Dr. Sloan on Italian violin makers Antonio Stradivari and Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesu, the afternoon will include an intimate recital by award-winning violinist Andrew Sords performing selected works on both instruments and accompanied by pianist Susan Olenwine. Afterwards, the violins will be on display in the Swan Atrium, where Dr. Sloan and musicians will be available to answer questions.
